Curly Maple Paddle - Single Side Resin In-Lay

Curly Maple refers to cuts of usually soft maples that exhibit curling in the grain of the wood, although cuts may come from hard maples as well. It has a distinct ripple in the grain, and is usually about moderate hardness although the unique grain can sometimes present a challenge when shaping. The wood has a natural creamy tan to reddish hue.

Curly Maple is a popular choice for "natural look" hardwood paddles due to it's natural appearance which is amplified when properly treated and stained although the wood can be difficult to properly stain if done too far in the finishing process.

Solid Curly Maple paddles will toe the line between thuddy and stingy depending on thickness, and will move more towards stingy with resin in-fills.

This is a commission piece. 

There will be a 2 - 3 week production time, depending on existing backlog and complexity of your request. Excessive embellishments (such as near total in-fill or through-wood features) may increase the price due to large complexity and/or consumables and time. All commission pieces will be reviewed with the buyer prior to production and the production time starts once the buyer has approved the design.

Due to the unique nature of commission pieces, refunds are not generally available unless there has been a production issue or error. Refunds will not be issued if there are problems with design after design has been approved. Refund may be issued during design process if the buyer is not pleased or no longer wishes to proceed.
